Jacqueline Gainon lives and works in Nice. Her work, which is similar to the New Figuration, assumes the reintroduction of the figure, by the traditional thermal oil painting, strong in color and close to a certain expressionism, free of any academicism. Today her painting has become more externalized, she thinks more of Cranach than Kirchner. What remains is the strangeness of the characters, their loneliness and their unsurpassable otherness.
