Charlotte Pringuey-Cessac – “Phantom paintings #2
Hors les murs
From February 13 to April 23, 2016, Le Moulin Art Space welcomes artist Frederique Nalbandian and the exhibition “The Falling Ear.”
Frédérique Nalbandian proposes us a research on the flow of time, the gravity/ gravity/ fall, the gravity. Then whiteness, the immanence of the material, the absence/silence of white, the imprint (negative casting) and memory.
Her first ear was born in the 3rd year of her studies at the Villa Arson, she works with plaster in the 1st year, soap in the 3rd year. The ear for its embryonic form (report with the origin, with the birth, “auditory//ombilical conduit”) calls it and more precisely, its auditory conduit in the direction of the understanding, of the comprehension of the world, of ourselves. This understanding so complex and difficult, even improbable between men: “I do not believe in it, at least not with language” said the artist.
