Anna Byskov is a Quito-born artist who lives between Geneva, Paris and Nice.
In her performances, she brings her body (and sometimes her mind) into play with offbeat actions in which nonsense wins out over reason.
The various characters she embodies are confronted with a variety of problems, and always end up failing, producing frustration, self-mockery and repetition of gesture or word.
And as Moira Dalant so aptly puts it, “At the root of every performance is the artist’s questioning of his own body and his own staging.
