A graduate of the Ecole du Louvre, the Sorbonne and Sciences Po Paris, Camille Frasca is a modern and contemporary art historian and exhibition curator, formerly chargé de mission to Laurent Le Bon at the Musée national Picasso-Paris from 2015 to 2021. She was coordinator of the "Picasso-Méditerranée" program, bringing together over 70 institutions in 10 Mediterranean countries, during which some 50 exhibitions and a range of cultural events took place. The sum total of the research and discoveries associated with this project has been published by InFine éditions, under his direction. As an exhibition curator, she has co-curated "Picasso and the Family" at the Sursock Museum in Beirut and developed several projects presenting the work of contemporary artists of different generations and practices (Bianca Argimon, Emilie Brout & Maxime Marion, Damien Caccia, Sophie Kitching, Harald Fernagu, Jeanne Susplugas among others) in public and private spaces, in France and abroad. She is a regular contributor to art books and specialized catalogs, with a particular interest in the encounter between the visual and performing arts.
Appointed Director of La Citadelle de Villefranche-sur-Mer in the Alpes-Maritimes since June 2021, Camille Frasca is working to consolidate the museums' identity by developing a new scientific and cultural project, focusing in particular on programming that brings the collections to life with contemporary creation, in the form of invitations and calls for residencies.
