Annie Vautier

Born in Monaco in 1939, Annie Vautier met Ben in 1963. As a member of the Théâtre Total collective, she participates in performances at the Artistique, the Théâtre de poche, the Buffet de la Gare and in street performances.

On March 24, 1968 she organized the performance Pour Knizak. Everyone sets up a table with chairs on the pavement in front of their house and invites passers-by to share their meal.

She also created the exhibition Fleurs at the Galerie Ben doute de tout. On the card is written the following sentence: “It is not necessary to come. However, you should know that Annie is exhibiting, from December 7 to 13, 1967, some flower pots. She will water them every evening. The flowers are not for sale. She has participated in Ben’s exhibitions, publications and performances since 1963.
