“After many years abroad, my project “vergissmeinnicht” was to make peace with the place of my childhood and return to my roots. All subjects are field flowers that I collected during long walks in nature in my parents’ village in southern Germany. The idea was to highlight the most common, the most ordinary, through the perfection of the form. It was with this in mind, by the way, that I used only flashlights and colored light to photograph the flowers in my old childhood bedroom.”
