Ben presents at the gallery a prefiguration of the exhibition <\/span>He will organize the ” Palais id\u00e9al des \u00e9go \u00e9tranges<\/b> ” on April 28 at the Facteur Cheval Palace in Hauterives. A<\/span>ith the performance ” Dance, dance, think about it<\/em> ” by Sandra Ponzetti & Jean-Paul Ducarteron.<\/p>\n

40 singular artists, creators, painters and visual artists, inspired by the strangeness and the creative madness of the Factor Horse meet. This confrontation is as much a challenge to the imagination as it is to the stubborn strength of creation.<\/p>\n

“13:59, a message on my answering machine: “Hello Vialard, it’s Ben, I’ve taken your paintings out of my collection and I’m having an exhibition and I’d like to show them in Eva’s gallery on the second floor, call me back”.<\/span><\/p>\n

I call Ben back: “Here you have the floor, I put paintings from my collection and you can hang other new things, you have carte blanche, … Then Ben talks to someone else or put his phone in his pocket or plunged his phone in an aquarium where I can talk to the goldfish… <\/span><\/p>\n

Re Ben who remembers the phone: “You come to hang, ah yes the exhibition is next week” <\/span><\/p>\n

Me: “Ok that’s great”<\/span><\/p>\n

Ben: “Vialard, I’m happy to show you, it’s been a long time”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is an exhibition, 3 minutes watch in hand, energy, it is direct and it pulsates like rock’n roll. It’s Ben and that’s why I’m an artist, right? <\/span><\/p>\n

I am a painter and musician, I do exhibitions, concerts and sound installations. <\/span><\/p>\n

My music, which influences my drawing and painting practice, is made of abstract experiments between noise, drones and post-rock electronics.<\/span><\/p>\n

My latest albums: Neukalm on the Berlin label Grautag and Queequeg (with Guy Reyes) on the Tiramizu label. <\/span><\/p>\n

I perform on stage at festivals such as Transmediale Berlin, City Sonic Brussels, Ososphere Strasbourg, Agnes B and Nuit Blanche in Paris, Elektro Alternativ, Toulouse, CrossOver, Nice, Le G\u00e9n\u00e9rateur, Gentilly… <\/span><\/p>\n
